| Industrial Machine & Tool Company began operations in 1914 under its
founder, Robert H. Chilton, Sr. What was then a small machine shop on 4 th Avenue in downtown Nashville,
today has grown into a large operation and a fourth generation business, employing over thirty people and
providing a wide variety of services. For years, our focus has been providing general equipment repair and prompt service to the manufacturing, aggregate, and construction industries, just to name a few. We are always on call, seven days a week, twenty four hours a day, including holidays. We have the right machinists and the right equipment to accommodate any kind of situation, on or off site. There is no job to large for us. After nearly one hundred years in business, we have currently moved our operation to a new location that we felt would accommodate us for the next one hundred years. We have finished a renovation of the existing buildings on the property, and we have recently finished construction of an additional 20,000 square foot facility that will help us continue to grow and expand to meet the future needs of our customers. The new facility will give us approximately 30,000 square feet devoted to machine shop space. In addition, we also have a 7,000 square foot welding shop and a 3,000 square foot building for the purposes of housing steel and other materials. Just about every inch of these facilities will also be equipped with overhead cranes. This facility will give Industrial Machine over 40,000 square feet of space to accommodate the specific needs of our customers. |
